NARROWBOAT HOLIDAY HIRE FROM CHIRK MARINA
Our luxury canal boats are based in Chirk Marina on the beautiful Llangollen Canal. Ideally situated between two renowned aqueducts, a holiday with Crest Narrowboats is guaranteed to provide outstanding views of the Welsh landscape, not least because we are fortunately placed in the middle of the 11 mile canal corridor granted World Heritage Status by UNESCO in 2009 an accolade reserved for the likes of the Statue of Liberty and the Taj Mahal.
To the north of Chirk Marina, following a canal cruise of just over an hour, our hirers will find themselves at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct the highest and longest bridge of its kind in the United Kingdom. Built in the 19th century by Thomas Telford, this phenomenal structure allows narrowboat hirers a unique opportunity to cross through a majestic Welsh valley with a birdseye view.
Closer to home, if you find yourself with time to spare at the start or end of your Crest Narrowboats holiday, Chirk has its own attractions to enjoy. Chirk is dominated by the ancient Castle on the hill, the seat of the Myddelton family since the 16th century, and Crest Narrowboats has the honour and privelege of having the exclusive right to display the Myddelton Coat of Arms on our vessels.
